What Will Little Mix Do Next?

From Solo Music to Fashion Launches, What Life After Little Mix Looks Like as They Take Their Final Bow

We all knew it was coming, but Confetti will fall for the last time this weekend as Little Mix perform the final date on their tour before taking an indefinite break from the band. For over a decade, we've sung, danced, and used "Shout Out to My Ex" as our ultimate breakup tune, but London's O2 Arena will mark their final show on Saturday night. If you're not lucky enough to have a ticket, the show will be live streamed around the world, so warm up those vocal cords to belt out your favourite hits as it might be a while before you hear them live again.

Band members Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards, and Jade Thirlwall announced their break on Twitter in December, tweeting, "It's been 10 amazing years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects. We can't thank you enough for your love and never-ending support since the beginning. We love you all SO much."

Since winning "The X Factor" in 2011, they have released six albums, scored five number ones, and gone from four to three members after Jesy Nelson left to embark on a solo career. While they have assured fans that the hiatus is more of a "see ya later" than a "goodbye forever", it's had us wondering what they all have planned next. Never ones to sit back and rest, Pinnock, Thirlwall, and Edwards have all launched their own projects during their time in the band, so they are pros at juggling a lot of plates. From solo music to fashion launches, here's the lowdown on what we know about their life after Little Mix so far.

What Will Leigh-Anne Pinnock Do After Little Mix?

Back in February, Warner Records announced that Pinnock, 30, signed a pretty major solo deal with them, so it looks like new music could be just around the corner. The initial announcement was shared on Instagram with a caption, "Delighted to welcome @leighannepinnock to the Warner Records family." Pinnock replied, "So excited for what's to come." Same.

But we don't think it's just going to be music that she dips her toe into. In December, she made her acting debut in Aml Ameen's "Boxing Day" film in which she performed a solo song called "Woman", produced by MNEK. We're expecting more forays into acting and reckon plenty more collabs with MNEK, too.

She also released her own BBC documentary on her experience of colourism and racism in the industry and as the only Black member of Little Mix. "Leigh-Anne: Race, Pop & Power" was broadcast in May 2021 and was where she announced her charity, The Black Fund, which aims to support and help finance other charities to empower Black communities.

Plus, the badass businesswoman has her own inclusive swimwear range, In a Seashell, that she set up with best pal Gabrielle Urquhart, so there's no doubt she'll be rolling out new bikini releases, too.

On top of all this, Pinnock gave birth to twins last summer and will likely start thinking about her wedding to footballer fiancé Andre Gray. We're exhausted just thinking about all the things she has up her sleeve, but one thing's for sure: we can't wait to see where it will take her.

What Will Perrie Edwards Do After Little Mix?

Edwards, 28, has been busy with her fashion side hustle that she launched in October last year. Disora, which she revealed is a merge of the words "disoriented ora", is her label which she describes as selling "contemporary luxury". The current collection is made up of super-soft basics that ooze laid-back style. Sustainability is at its heart with eco-friendly fabrics and ethical practices that make it a label to be proud of. With the first collection, DS001, selling out in just 48 hours, we are predicting big things for Edwards's style credentials.

In addition, eagle-eyed fans have spotted her hanging out in the studio. In January, producer and singer Kamille, who's worked with Little Mix previously, shared a TikTok video with Edwards captioned, "studio wit my boo". It also featured producer Fred Again, who's worked with Ed Sheeran and Stormzy. While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, we can't imagine it will be long before Edwards puts out her own "Sweet Melody".

She has also recently become a mum, giving birth to baby Axel last year with her footballer boyfriend, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The two got engaged on 18 June, just weeks after Little Mix's last show, and they made the announcement on Instagram with a carousel of romantic sunset snaps. We can't wait to see Edwards in a wedding dress.

What Will Jade Thirlwall Do After Little Mix?

In March, Thirlwall, 29, signed a solo deal with RCA Records and signed to Full Stop Management, which also represents Harry Styles and Lizzo. Yep, we'd say that's a pretty good start. While no release dates have been revealed or hints of the musical direction she's likely to go in, we can't help but dream of just how good a Thirlwall and Lizzo collab could be. We're manifesting it as we write.

There have also been teasers from DJs Calvin Harris and Jax Jones. As Harris announced his long-awaited new album, "Funk Wav Bounces Vol 2.", on Instagram, Thirlwall was one of the first to comment, writing "We're ready" with a flamingo emoji, leading fans to speculate about that collab is in the works. While Jones told The Sun, "I was in the studio with Jade and she is mega-cool and super-talented. She is also such fun to be around. We wrote something really cool so hopefully that can come out too."

We also think there could be more TV work in the pipeline. She has previously fronted her own series for MTV Digital called "Served! With Jade Thirlwall," where she competed with drag queens to cook dinner.

And she launched an eyeshadow palette with Beauty Bay last year full of bold, bright colours that oozed sass. We know we'd love to see more in the beauty sphere from her.

When she's not performing on stage, it's likely you'll find her hanging in her own bar. She owns Arbeia in her home town of South Shields, too. Giving us Girlboss vibes, Thirlwall, who is dating Rizzle Kicks's Jordan Stephens, is sure to be kept busy with her solo career and business ventures.
