  • May 2010: Blake proposed to Miranda on May 9, 2010, after asking her father for his blessing. "I fumbled it up a little," Blake told Us Weekly about his proposal. "It's funny how you rehearse those things and go over what you want to say, but I probably screwed it up." Miranda described the excitement of being engaged to Blake to People at the time, saying, "Weddings are great and engagements are great, and diamonds are especially great, but I'm just excited to be married because I want to tell Blake I really can love him the rest of my life and be happy and make him happy."
  • May 2011: A year after getting engaged, the country cuties tied the knot in Boerne, TX. According to Us Weekly, Ashley Monroe sang "Makin' Plans" as Miranda walked down the aisle, and Blake later performed "Let's Grow Old Together" for his bride.
  • July 2011: After saying "I do" earlier that Spring, the "Honey Bee" singer released his sixth studio album, Red River Blue, in July. The album featured his new wife on the title track and gave Blake four No. 1 singles.
  • November 2011: Miranda followed in her husband's footsteps in 2011 by releasing her own album, Four the Record, in the Fall. The song "Over You" was another cowrite credited to Miranda and Blake and led to two major award wins for Miranda.
  • 2011: Blake became a coach on The Voice, which brought his life to Los Angeles in addition to spending time touring and being back home in Oklahoma with Miranda. Throughout his time on the NBC series, Miranda made time to appear as his team's mentor and give performances on the show.
