As reported by The Sun, Eugenie accidentally injured Sheeran during a night out. Both were part of a dinner party, where James Blunt reportedly joked that he'd love to be knighted. Eugenie mock-knighted him, but when she lifted the sword, she didn't realise Sheeran was right behind her, and accidentally nicked his face.
It was all taken in stride, and the pair reportedly are good friends to this day!
