After a tumultuous past few years, Taylor really came into her own in 2019. With the release of her seventh album Lover in August 2019, Taylor showed a more vulnerable side with songs about love, loss, and anxiety. With her new music deal with Republic Records and UMG, Taylor also took ownership of her career. In addition to owning her masters for the new album, she also codirected every single one of her music videos and created her very own music festival.
