The Biden grandchildren and the Obama daughters are already pretty close, after the eight years their families spent together during the Obama administration, but Maisy is particularly close to Sasha Obama. They're right around the same age (Maisy is 20, Sasha is 19), and they played on the same basketball team together growing up — where their coach was President Obama himself!
"There's a lot of teams that were like, 'This is unfair, they can't have the president be their coach,' but I mean, we won," Maisy told NBC News. She also shared that, no matter what, her grandfather did his best to never miss a game. "It was always funny seeing him show up when I was like, 'I think I just saw you on TV about 30 minutes ago, how did you just end up here?' And he was like, 'Don't worry, I knew it was a big game today.'"
