Following his split with Ariana, Pete started up a four-month romance with Kate Beckinsale in early 2019. When asked about the romance by the Los Angeles Times in March 2019, Kate admitted the media scrutiny was a lot to handle, but Pete was worth it. "I'm surprised by the interest," she said. "I've never been in this position before — never dated anybody who comes with their own bag of mischief. It's all quite shocking, and something to get used to. I think if you liked the person less, you would bow out of it. If that were the main thrust of the relationship, there would be a problem. But it's not." The two ended up calling it quits in May 2019.
