In April 2022, Spears announced on Instagram that she and Asghari are expecting their first child together. She described losing weight in Maui, but gaining it back quickly, and chalking it up to being "food pregnant." The singer wrote, "So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby."
Asghari shared his excitement about the news as well, writing on Instagram, "Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect. Fatherhood is something i have always looked forward to and i don't take lightly. It is the most important job i will ever do."
While Spears revealed in her post that she will keep her pregnancy mainly private to avoid a media frenzy, fans are just so happy for the singer, especially considering how hard she had to fight for her reproductive rights amid her conservatorship.
