Henrie played Gomez's TV brother on Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place," and the two remained good friends after the show ended in 2012. In 2014, Seventeen reported that they went on a date, but it appears nothing ever came of it. In 2017, Gomez attended Henrie's wedding as he tied the knot with model Maria Cahill, with whom he shares his 3-year-old daughter, Pia, and 1-year-old son, James. Gomez and Henrie reunited again in August 2020 to promote their film "This Is the Year," which the latter directed and the former produced.
