A partner at the law firm Hogarth, Chao & Benowitz (yup, the same one that Foggy from Daredevil works for), Jeri is a stern and whip-smart lawyer who assigns Jessica freelance P.I. cases, though she'd rather have Jessica permanently on her team. In season 1, she undergoes a messy divorce case with her wife Dr. Wendy Ross, who finds out about the lawyer's affair with her secretary. Jessica informs Jeri that her client had been mind-controlled by Kilgrave, to which Jeri is skeptical.
Later on, Jeri becomes Kilgrave's slave. Instead of driving to a hospital, she drives to her ex's house so that he can force Wendy into signing divorce papers. It turns out to be a not-so-great idea that ends in Kilgrave telling Jeri's ex to bring her "death by a thousand cuts." Thankfully, Jeri's secretary-slash-paramour arrives in the nick of time, bashing in Wendy's head. When things are finished with Kilgrave, Jeri negotiates a deal with the DA so that Jessica won't be punished for killing Kilgrave.
