In this dark crime drama, Marty Byrd (Jason Bateman) has to uproot his wife (Laura Linney) and two kids from their comfortable suburban lifestyle in Chicago to the Ozarks after a money-laundering scheme doesn't go as planned. Marty is now responsible for protecting the lives of his family from a Mexican drug lord who is on his tail, a situation that's threatening to tear the family apart.
