The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay

In this new novel by Paul Tremblay, a young girl is put in the middle of a plot that could determine whether or not the entirety of the human race survives a tragic apocalyptic event. When a stranger approaches 7-year-old Wen as she's playing in the front yard of the remote cabin her family is vacationing in, she is told that her fathers have to cooperate with their plan and that the fallout of what's to come is not their fault. Unable to convince the girl's fathers themselves, these threatening strangers will force Wen to do it for them, sparking the beginning of a mysterious mission to save the world.
