Here's what we know about season three:

Based on the teaser trailer (which you can watch above), here's what we know about the show's third season.

1. Steve Harrington has a new job. Thanks to his shining moment at the end of the teaser, we know that beloved babysitter Steve will have a new gig for season three: scooping ice cream at the mall. Based on his bored expression during the mall's TV spot, it's not exactly the most fulfiling work for a former high school baseball star who moonlights as a monster hunter.

2. There's a totally new teen character to meet. This teaser is the first glimpse viewers get of actress Maya Hawke playing mysterious new character Robin. According to previous reports, Robin is an "'alternative girl' bored with her mundane day job. She seeks excitement in her life and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins, IN." Now, we know that her boring day job is working alongside Steve at the new mall ice cream shop.

3. Starcourt Mall will likely be the centre of season three. Series stars like Finn Wolfhard (Mike) and Priah Ferguson (Erica) tweeted their excitement about the mall despite not being featured in the trailer, so we can assume they'll each have screen time at the mall sometime during the season.

4. Stranger Things won't return anytime soon. The trailer ends with "Starcourt Mall, coming next Summer!" Fans have interpreted this to mean that the series — which last released around Halloween 2017 — won't drop its third season on Netflix until Summer 2019. The suspense is killing us!
