Although Gathegi's Laurent wasn't top-billed, Gathegi has had a steady career in Hollywood ever since. Superhero fans will recognise him as Darwin from X-Men: First Class, and he racked up a pretty respectable number of guest credits on TV shows such as Nikita and Beauty and the Beast. In 2015, he joined NBC's The Blacklist and, when the show spun off The Blacklist: Redemption in 2017, he crossed over to the new series as well.
