One of the greatest aspects of Dumplin' (of which there are many), is that the film makes the romantic subplot exactly that — a subplot. Instead, the feel-good film focuses on Willowdean's journey to embracing herself. That means digging into her tough relationship with her mother (Jennifer Aniston) and learning to appreciate her group of quirky, wonderful friends.
