While Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton might have an adorable relationship in real life, Jonathan and Nancy were actually on the rocks this season as they navigated their newspaper internship together. They eventually get fired, but there are no lasting hard feelings when they actually figure out the whole ordeal with the Mind Flayer. Jonathan eventually leaves with the rest of his family, bidding Nancy a heartbreaking goodbye.
