Set against the backdrop of the first Anglo-Maratha war over two different time periods and continents, this epic time-travel romance tells the stories of two sets of lovers: a brain-dead marine archaeologist (Josh Hartnett) who was injured saving his wife (Tamsin Egerton) from the wreck of a colonial British East Indiaman in 2020, and a 1778 ship captain who romances a Maratha warrior, whom the archeologist dreams of in his coma.
