Darkness Falls checks all of the scary movie trope boxes: there's a quaint town in Maine, a legend that turns out to be totally true, and a kid in peril after he catches the attention of a malevolent spirit. Full of jump scares and spooky, but not too spooky moments, this is a perfect popcorn horror flick.
