Before he won a Tony for playing the complicated Aaron Burr in Hamilton, Odom had a supporting role in a TV show about a fictional Broadway show. On Smash, he played Sam Strickland, a veteran dancer and love interest for one of the lead characters. Odom "reprised" the role for the 2015 Actors Fund Smash reunion (as seen above), which was recently broadcast as a fundraiser.
