Black Nativity follows Langston (Jacob Latimore), a Baltimore teen raised by his single mother (Jennifer Hudson), who travels to New York City to spend the holiday with his estranged relatives, the Rev. Cornell Cobbs (Forest Whitaker) and his wife, Aretha (Angela Bassett). But when Langston realises how strict the Cobbs are, he sets out on a journey to return to his mother and finds the value of faith, healing, and family along the way.
