It wouldn't be a list of Austen-related recommendations without Clueless, the iconic comedy that transplants Emma into the world of ultrawealthy Beverly Hills of the 1990s! Cher and her friends pretty much rule their school, but they're mostly well-intentioned and kind, if a little out of touch. When new student Tai arrives, Cher immediately takes her under her wing to teach her the ways of high school and give her a total makeover, much to the mocking of Cher's former stepbrother Josh.
