Paleontologist Mary Anning has always worked alone, selling the tiny ammonites she finds on the beach to the tourists who visit her shop. But when a visitor offers her a side job as a bedside nurse to his geologist wife Charlotte, Mary willingly accepts, knowing she could use the extra money to support her mother. The more time Mary spends with Charlotte, the more intense their feelings for each other become, and the two women have no choice but to confront their buried secrets.
