The Josephine Baker Story

Set in the Harlem Renaissance just like Passing, this Golden Globe-winning film tells the true story of cabaret dancer Josephine Baker and her path to fame. Determined to escape her life of poverty in St. Louis, Josephine dedicates her career to becoming an American Vaudeville performer. But as Josephine's success begins to grow, so does the racial prejudice she experiences, leading her to move to Paris to make a name for herself there.
