Movies Like Interstellar: Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Acclaimed filmmaker Steven Spielberg has written and directed a number of science fiction movies in his lifetime, most notably, E.T. the Extra Terrestrial and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Roy Leary (Richard Dreyfuss) leads an ordinary life as an electrical lineman in Indiana. When widespread power outages affect his town, Leary goes out to investigate the power lines when he experiences a sudden shower of intense light around him. Obsessed with the encounter he experienced, Leary goes to great lengths to determine what happened to him and what forces exist beyond his understanding.
