Jyn (Felicity Jones) never had a close relationship with her father. Of course, he was taken hostage by the corrupt Orson Krennic when she was a child, so getting to know him was never really an option. Older and wiser, Jyn now understands that her father is working as the Empire's head scientist and is in charge of overseeing the most lethal weapon in the whole galaxy: the Death Star. In an attempt to right her father's wrongs, Jyn seeks out the help of a secret agent and an army of soldiers to demolish the Death Star. This is a standalone film in the Star Wars franchise.
