Aaron Dessner Surprise Performances at the Eras Tour

Frequent Swift collaborator Aaron Dessner has surprised Swift's crowd at three Eras Tour concerts so far. At the 14 April show in Tampa, he joined Swift to perform "The Great War" during the surprise portion of the show. The song is a "3am" track from Swift's 2022 release "Midnights." The next day, he returned to perform "Mad Woman" with Swift. That song is from 2020's "Folklore." He returned again on 7 May in Nashville to perform "Would've, Could've, Should've," another "3am" track, with Swift in the pouring rain.

After performing "The Great War" with Swift, Dessner wrote on Instagram, "Playing the Great War for the first time in Tampa....Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine getting to play a song for 80,000 people on acoustic guitar with @taylorswift." He added heart and wide-eyed emojis and continued, "eternally grateful for all the music we have made and your friendship. The #tstheerastour is the greatest show I've ever seen!!!!!"

Dessner, who's part of the band The National, and Swift first collaborated on "Folklore" and they also cowrote songs on "Evermore" and the "3am" "Midnights" tracks.
