These Are the 19 Items I Use to De-Stress Like a Wellness Expert

As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you'll like too. If you buy a product we have recommended, we may receive affiliate commission, which in turn supports our work.

Bouts of stress and anxiety sneak up on all of us, but this year, I've made it my mission not to let them beat me down. When I start to feel panicked, I try to take inventory of the situation, and focus on gaining perspective. Usually, I find that my stress is self-inflicted. It might sound counterintuitive, but I've discovered that the easiest way to de-stress is to be prepared. For me, that means having the right products at my disposal, so all I need to focus on is taking care of myself.

These are the items I keep in stock whenever I can take a minute and breathe. Using them makes me feel more centreed, and I can get back to myself. Some of them I use to keep myself out of a panic, and some of them I indulge in when I'm already feeling calm, but I consider each one an important part of my self-care routine. Take a deep breath, and shop my picks.

Alo Urban Moto Sweatpants

This might sound insane to some people, but here's the truth: I don't own sweatpants. I never saw the need for clothes that I wouldn't wear out of the house; I'd either put on leggings or pajama pants. However, if I'm lounging on the weekend, it is really nice to be in loose, comfortable clothing. Shocking, I know. These Alo Urban Moto Sweatpants ($98) do the job and will still make me feel slightly pulled together.
