I can assure you, if you are working with kids at home, you are not working at 100 percent. In fact, you're barely working at half-speed. Sure, in this situation, you'll ideally be able to share the load with your partner, but there's no way you can expect to be as efficient or effective as you are any other day of the week. You, ideally with the support of your manager, will just have to let that go. This is an overwhelming situation, and no one is getting it right. You just have to do your best. Some days your best will be finishing one deadline while yelling at your toddler three times. Other days, it'll be slamming your laptop closed and cuddling your crying baby. Whatever it is, the only way out is through.
