Based on the wildly popular language Scratch, programmer and author Mitchel Resnick created The Official ScratchJr Book ($15) teaches children ages 5 and older how to become storytellers, programmers and animators. The book offers tips and instructions that follow ScratchJr, a free programming app available in Apple's App Store and Play Store on Android.
