Virgo (23 Aug.-22 Sept.) 2023 Horoscope

This year begins with your ruling planet, Mercury, retrograde in fellow earth sign Capricorn. You may be reevaluating the decisions you made at the end of 2022, Virgo. It's OK to change your mind, especially since Mars, the planet of action, is retrograde in Gemini until 12 Jan. It may not be until February that you feel like your new year is truly beginning, especially when the full moon in Leo on 5 Feb. activates your sector of spirituality and closure. You've been working through hidden trauma these past six months, and this full moon helps you lay your wounds to rest. One month later, your annual full moon on 7 March may lead to you receiving a promotion at work or making a significant change to a close partnership (either levelling up or breaking up). Accept the changes occurring in your life, especially since Saturn, the planet of challenge, will enter Pisces on the same day as your full moon. With your partnership sector activated by Saturn in Pisces for the next two and a half years, you're learning to flow through life's tumultuousness and take things one breath at a time.

The solar eclipse new moon in Aries on 20 April is a portal to deeper, more passionate, and more exciting connections, not only romantically but also when it comes to financial partnerships and mergers. This eclipse helps you kick-start a six-month cycle of wealth building, one where you allow yourself to take greater leaps of faith. Jupiter's presence in Aries until 16 May also infuses more abundance in your life, so if you've been wanting to make a significant investment in real estate or a passion project, the first half of 2023 may be an auspicious time to (just avoid doing so when your ruler, Mercury, is retrograde). By the corresponding Aries full moon on 29 Sept., you'll be much closer to building your dream empire.

Virgo season starts 23 Aug., and so does Mercury retrograde in Virgo, so your birthday celebrations may be tamer than usual this year, as you'll be in a self-reflective and somewhat introverted mood. That doesn't mean you shouldn't allow yourself to be celebrated, though. One of your key lessons this year, especially once the North Node shifts into Aries on 17 July, is to stop humbling yourself so much, Virgo. Embrace the limelight, or normalise letting yourself be publicly seen and celebrated. Use the Virgo new moon on 14 Sept. to visualise yourself in March 2024, having overcome your inner blockages and truly living in alignment with your highest self. That's what 2023 will help you work your way toward, step by step.
