Lounging on the sofa of a downtown New York City penthouse hotel room in full hair and makeup, it's hard to believe that Taylor Hill would characterize herself as "lowkey and chill," but when she starts professing her love for sleep, it all starts to make a bit more sense.
If you've ever wondered how the model spends her very rare days off, Hill stated matter of factly while scooping up her miniature Labrador, Tate, "I just love to sleep. I love sleeping!" Despite her career as a Ralph Lauren Fragrance spokesperson and Lancôme Beauty Ambassador, as well as a Victoria's Secret Angel, Hill still appreciates the simpler things in life: Waking up late and a beauty routine that doesn't require her to spend two hours in the makeup chair.
After washing her face and moisturising, Hill likes to enjoy a cup of coffee, make breakfast, and take Tate for a walk like a totally normal 23-year-old living in Manhattan. After that, if given the option, she would spend all day in bed, cuddling with her dog and being "dead to the world" she says. As you can tell, she takes her beauty sleep very seriously.
For Hill, an effortless "model off duty" look involves four products max. "I like to keep it really simple and easy because I'm not the best at makeup," Hill says. "For me, it's usually mascara, concealer, lip balm or some sort of tinted lip gloss, eyebrow gel and I'm done."
When it comes to date night, she'd prefer to mix up her fragrance than her makeup routine. "I put my hair in a bun and add a few more coats of mascara than usual, and that's it," she says. The finishing touch is a spritz of Ralph Lauren Fragrance Romance Eau de Parfum ($98). "It really triggers more of a fun night out to me."
Taking a few tips from Hill's very French girl-esque beauty routine, you'd better believe I'll be trading in my 10-step makeup ritual for a much more minimalist look next date night.
