This Beauty Vlogger Shaved Her Head Due to Serious Hair Damage, and the Results Are Stunning
When we first saw the title of YouTube star Vanessa Martinez's latest video, we had our suspicions on whether or not her latest beauty move was a real one. As Yahoo reports, on Feb. 1 Vanessa posted a video titled "I let my friend shave my heard (Yes I'm bald)." The 21 year-old anticipated everyone having a similar reaction of shock and disbelief when she posted this video for her two million subscribers to see, because she began with a disclaimer to let everyone know she wasn't posting clickbait.
If you follow Vanessa, you know that she loves switching up her look using hair extensions and wigs. That all changed when she started to notice her real hair was suffering from the practice. In her video, she spoke candidly about why she decided to take matters into her own hands. "I'm just making myself balder and balder, so why don't I just cut all my hair off and start over?" she said.
When Vanessa cut her hair down to a bob, she hesitated for just a second. "You guys, hair grows back," she said before she buzzed it all off with the help of her friend. After the process was complete, the 21-year-old said she felt very "liberated" without her hair. The end result is spectacular!
"Being bald is not ugly. It's not disgusting. It's not weird. If you are going bald due to illness, stress, [or] whatever the case, you are still beautiful! . . . Can I just say: THE BREEZE FEELS GREAT," Vanessa wrote in her description box. Her viewers commented encouraging her decision and writing things like "Eleven vibes???
