La La Anthony on Experiencing Hair Loss: "My Hair Was Just Coming Out"

Lala Anthony is opening up about her struggle with hair loss. The actor and entrepreneur recently spoke with POPSUGAR and discussed everything from how she found out that her hair has become extremely damaged to her new hair-care line Inala, which was created to help others like her get their hair back.
Anthony first noticed the state of her hair during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. "During the pandemic is when I really noticed the wear and tear on my hair," Anthony tells POPSUGAR. "My hair was just coming out. You see in the press kits [and] my before and after photos." Anthony, who has become famous for her voluminous high ponytail looks, says the signature style further damaged her hair. "I wear my hair up all the time and [it'd] just constantly pull on my edges." In addition to her signature ponytails, Anthony would also wear "tight protective styles, braids, weaves, and wigs" that would constantly pull on her hair, exacerbating the issue.
Looking for a solution, Anthony started experimenting with using rice water in an attempt to grow back her hair, and her results were "magical." However, after realising that at-home versions of the treatment would go bad very quickly, Anthony decided she needed to bring in reinforcements. That's how her hair-care brand, Inala, was created. The line's star product is the Power Potion ($55), which Anthony describes as "a 100 percent rice water complex that is extracted from rice grains, [which] is where you find all the vitamins and nutrients you need for hair health." With the addition of biotin and arginine, Anthony says this potion has been "blowing people away."
Anthony hopes that people love the product as much as she does, saying, "if this little bottle can bring you some happiness and peace by just making your hair grow . . . then I feel like I've done something good."
