She's known for her raven hair, but now Lily Allen is testing whether blondes have more fun. The actor and singer attended the Chanel x Charles Finch pre-BAFTA dinner party on Saturday, 18 Feb. showing her hair transformation in all its glory. Wearing a blue glittery co-ord, in the form of a polo top and wide-leg trousers with a clashing pink crystal clutch back, Allen's new blonde micro bob with choppy fringe was giving '60s vibes.
In addition to her new hair, Allen's makeup was positively glowing. Makeup artist Gina Kane used a range of Chanel products to give the singer and actor that illuminating effect. Among the products was the Les 4 Ombres in Warm Memories (£48) around her eyes, the Baume Essential Glow Srick in Dragée (£35), and the Poudre Lumiѐre Illuminating Powder in Rosy Gold (£43).
Allen then attended the BAFTA afterparties a day later wearing a cutout, ruffled Giambattista Valli dress. Her blonde bob was given yet another sleek makeover, styled into a side fringe and her hair tucked behind her ears
She first unveiled her new blonde hair on 24 Jan. via selfies on her Instagram story, although she's certainly no stranger to experimenting with her look. While she has become synonymous with dark hair colour over the years, she's also tried a micro fringe, side partings, and even been blonde before in 2015. Her most recent iteration has been chopped bluntly just below her ear with a full fringe, a similar feel to Hailey Bieber, who also recently debuted a blunt bob for 2023.
Allen, who is married to "Stranger Things" star David Harbour, also recently went viral for defending "nepo babies", the short for nepotism babies. The 37-year-old is the daughter of actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen, and waded into the "nepo babies" debate in December, defending the children of famous parents and claiming they are often "scapegoated" in the industry. She has also spoken out about an abortion she had in light of the Roe v. Wade ruling in the US.
While we love Allen for her outspoken honesty, it seems she has matched her blunt hair to her blunt personality and we are here for it. See Allen's new blonde bob ahead.
