We can always count on Lizzo to give us a beauty moment that we won't be able to stop talking about. From that high blush at the Grammys to her finger-wave mullet at the BET Awards, simply put: she is the moment. Her latest? A twist on a french manicure that will have every lover of nail art singing its praises.
Instead of a traditional french manicure with white smile lines, Lizzo wore a "french moon" manicure, which uses dark polish along the edge of the nail. To get the look, her go-to manicurist Eri Ishizu first filed her extensions into a long-stiletto shape. Then, she painted the base a shimmery translucent colour, followed by deep, black tips. To finish the look, Ishizu added crystal accents to the black polish, giving the manicure an almost celestial feel.
French manicures are easily one of the most popular '90s beauty trends to make a comeback over the last few years. The traditional nail look has birthed countless iterations like the chrome, glass, and glazed-doughnut french. Lizzo's "french moon" version of the look is like the classic's sexier, more establish rich aunt, which is exactly the type of energy that Lizzo gives.
