"For summer, I feel, in light of COVID-19, we are looking for a return of brighter colours that bring back a fun, happy feeling," Tom Bachik, the celebrity manicurist behind Jennifer Lopez's best nail moments, told POPSUGAR. "Originally, the colour palettes I've seen have been a bit earthy or grey, but I believe we will see more trendy tones this year."

Summer 2020 Nail Colour Trend: Sea Foam Aqua
This summer's nail colour trends can be summed up best in one word: bright. They're colours that are impossible not to notice and will make you feel energized and excited. Sea foam aqua shades like Essie Nail Polish in In The Cab-ana ($9) will help transport us to somewhere tropical, even if we're just hanging out in the backyard.
Summer 2020 Nail Colour Trend: Bright Coral

Summer 2020 Nail Colour Trend: Intense Blues
The colour blue brings feelings of calmness and serenity. With that in mind, it makes sense that Bachik expects intense blues to have a major moment this season.
