If there ever were a show that took the world by storm, it would be Netflix's "Bridgerton", created by the iconic Shonda Rhimes. The show is a collation of regality, creativity, and pure passion that pulled on all our heartstrings — Dame Pat McGrath included. So, as you can imagine, when the two masterful artists came together ahead of the show's 25 March series two premiere, magic was created: Pat McGrath Labs's second "Bridgerton" collection. What's more, ahead of the line's launch, we learned it was used on set by lead makeup designer Erika Ökvist and her team.

Showcasing a new feel of makeup expression — in what Shondaland and Netflix are calling a "Regency-meets-modern cosmetics collection" — the "Bridgerton" II collection may be the best one yet.

Injecting a new regal mood laced in the romance of beauty, the new collection features a treasure of limited-edition products used exclusively on the cast in the second season. Introducing the new MTHRSHP Belle of the Ball eye palette (£64), the Legendary Wear Velvet Kohl Eyeliner (£27) (which also premiered in "The Batman" for Zoë Kravitz's sharp yet sensual onscreen looks), the SatinAllure Lipsticks (£30 each), the Blushing Delights cheek palette (£64), and the Skintillating Diamond Body Shimmer (£53).

"Pat and her team at Pat McGrath Labs have pushed the luxe modernity of 'Bridgerton' beyond the screen with this collaboration, and we are excited to share it with the world," shared Sandie Bailey, Shondaland's chief design and digital media officer, in a December press statement ahead of the first collection's launch. "Pat's dedication to accessibility for all skin tones in addition to high-caliber products is unmatched, making this collection a must-have for the 'Bridgerton' audience and Pat McGrath consumers alike."

Excitement aside, what can we expect from this much-awaited collection? Well, if there is one thing we know that Pat McGrath Labs never fails to produce, it's a pigment-packed palette. Of course, Belle of the Ball is as swoon-worthy as we would have hoped. With a velvety plum matte, a peony-pink satin matte, a pale rose-gold highlight, a pastel aqua, and a rich chartreuse, you can create a bold yet elegant look with ease.

Next up is the velvety-smooth Legendary Wear Velvet Kohl Eyeliner, which you can smudge or set in place to create a cat eye or smoky eye. Before drying and setting in place, there is plenty of time to play around and create a dramatic look without it feeling dry or heavy on your skin, which is all down to its creamy formula and soft matte finish.

What would a collection be without a new lipstick release in line with all things "Bridgerton"? The new SatinAllure range is a silky, dewy dream formulated with botanical collagen and passion-fruit oil to keep lips hydrated without sacrificing colour pay-off. McGrath explained on the brand's site that the seven cool and warm shades deliver "couture colour, haute hydration and a flawless finish fit for a queen".

This new collection also treats us to a brand-new category from Pat McGrath Labs. The Skintillating Body Shimmer is the brand's first-ever shimmer — an ultradecadent, light-reflective loose powder that layers a beautiful sparkle and shimmer to the skin. Formulated with squalene and a delicate floral scent, McGrath described the product as "the ultimate royal indulgence".

Not only is there a collection to be romanticising over, but there's also a new muse: Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Featherington aka Lady Whistledown). Coughlan teased during a collection preview that in the opening scene of season two, we see Lady Whistledown grow from a girl to a woman with the line, "I'm sharpening my knives for all of you." The actor described the range as a "modern take on Regency beauty", where we see beauty take on a "fun form of self-expression".
