While the clothes may have been fairly muted at Charlotte Knowles — save for a few flashes of yellow and red in some of the prints — the nails were positively electric. Models wore long, square-shaped fake nails down the runway in vibrant shades of blue, fuchsia, orange, and yellow, each with a tiny colourful detail painted onto each one. "Charlotte wanted the nails to look like they had been "lived in" whilst maintaining a very "rich" feeling," says manicurist Lauren Michelle Pires who created the look backstage. "We achieved this by layering up colours, then sanding down sanding down sections of the nail to reveal hidden patterns underneath."
