For the virtual Emmy Awards, Orji — who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Molly on the HBO series Insecure — debuted a raised fist symbol shaved into the side of her head in honour of the Black Lives Matter movement. To achieve the look, the American-Nigerian actor got a little help from Atlanta-based groomer Mickey West-Potts, who created the design, and hairstylist Mary Daniels, who made sure her curls were in top shape for the event.
