Filling in the rest of the wing was the hardest part because, you know, the bobby pin was no longer doing the brunt of the work, but it was still much easier than attempting a cat-eye from scratch. As someone who usually takes ages drawing and redrawing on just the tip of the wing, this hack cut down on that time significantly. (Using an eyeliner liner stamp, like the Lyda Beauty Cleopatra Cat Eye Stamp Bold ($25) also does the trick.)
This makeup trick still took some skill to get right, and my wings were by no means perfectly symmetrical (a girl can dream!), but I can only imagine that with a little practice, this TikTok hack would make applying winged liner a breeze.
