We all know that an influencer's job is to, well, influence you, and there are no tricks missed with one of the UK's biggest social media stars, Molly-Mae Hague. But one of her latest recommendations left me keen to actually take the plunge and try it out — her glowing review of the Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation (£42). Hague said the Haus Labs product was her current go-to and the "longest I've stuck with a foundation for". Given how many brands must be keen to get into the hands of the "Love Island" star, the longevity comment had me intrigued.
The medium coverage product had already caught my eye by going viral on TikTok, with founder Lady Gaga kickstarting the "Haus Labs Foundation Challenge", encouraging users to share their creations using the foundation. As more influencers and creators on my For You Page shared their love for it, I found myself more eager to try it for myself.

For context, my current go-to foundations have been the Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint, which provides a sheer, natural finish, and is extremely lightweight and for more coverage, the SAIE Glowy Super Skin Foundation. My dream product would sit between these two, for the days I want more than a tint, but not too much that I feel it sitting on my skin.

What I Liked About Haus Labs' Triclone Skin Tech Foundation

The serum-like texture instantly appealed to me as I pumped a sample amount onto my hand. I loved how visibly lightweight the formula was, and this translated when I put it on my skin. A little bit went a long way, and I was still able to achieve coverage greater than Eaze Drop's, with room to build if needed. I found that using a beauty blender instead of a brush helped to distribute the serum-foundation evenly, creating a seamless blend and luminous glow. I absolutely adored the base I was able to create with only a couple of pumps of this foundation. My skin had a natural finish and I found that it worked well with the other products in my makeup routine. I can definitely see why Hague has stuck with this for so long.
What To Consider About Haus Labs' Triclone Skin Tech Foundation
As much as I liked the serum-like texture, I'd say it's important to keep this controlled. It could be easy to get carried away and apply more than needed, only to find that you've used too much. Although lightweight in texture, this is a medium coverage product, so if, like me, you're used to a buildable tint, go easy with this, as you'll get a lot from a little. This kind of softens the blow of the price point too.
