My Review

The hardest thing to get past with this hack is applying your products in a completely different order. As someone who wears makeup almost every weekday, I could do my makeup routine with my eyes closed, but this twist definitely threw me off. With that said, I didn't dislike the hack. I used the Maybelline Lasting Fix Banana Setting Powder ($12) first, followed by the Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray ($33), then the Beauty Bakerie The Butter Hydra Silk Primer ($24), and lastly the Clinique Even Better Clinical Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 25 ($42).

Applying setting powder to your clean skin on top of moisturiser feels a little dry at first but then adding primer and foundation over top fixes that. I didn't notice a difference in how my foundation applied but I did notice a difference in how it looked — it had a smoother appearance. I was impressed with how it held up after a full day of work. My makeup typically creases under my eyes and around my mouth but that didn't happen.
