It was important to Rose and director Adam Randall that Zoe and Blaire looked like "they came from the same world" but with their own decided look, just as sisters often do.
"Blaire's character is softer and younger in vampire years than Zoe, which is why we decided to have her hair down in soft waves and I wanted a pop of colour in her hair to catch the light," Rose told POPSUGAR. They landed on rose gold tips (because it was a trending colour at the time), and a shag haircut that felt reminiscent of the '70s — a decade Blaire references with fondness during a conversation with Benny.
