I don't have particularly dry skin, but every time I get off the plane, I find my face looking not only puffy, but also dull and dry. Being in recycled air for hours upon end can do that to a person. I'd consider myself a frequent flyer, and I've got plans to rack up even more miles in the coming months; I don't want to sacrifice glowing skin. Through plenty of trial and error, I know that I need a thicker face cream when I fly, and now, I cannot travel without the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask ($48).
Besides coming in the cutest, most instagrammable packageing, the product really delivers. I use it as an overnight mask, a primer under makeup, and even as a moisturiser on days where my skin feels on the drier side. But, it is my nonnegotiable staple when I fly. Every time I do my pre-takeoff skin care routine, it's always my moisturiser, no questions asked. It's the only product I've used that keeps me glowy and hydrated even on transatlantic flights. Now, they also make the cult-favourite product in a mini version, so even if you've got a tiny toiletry bag, it can still go anywhere and everywhere with you.
The mask is the perfect mixture of nourishing and breathable. As someone who's acne-prone, I can't use super thick creams, but this is the perfect happy medium. My friends with both dry and oily skin love this product too, and it is truly multi-purpose. If you're getting on a plane in the near future, or you want glowing, hydrated skin, this vegan, cruelty-free mask is the answer to your prayers.
