Windle London Salon Laboratory Creates Own Hand Sanitiser

Windle London Created In-House Hand Sanitiser Free of Charge For Customers

Windle London — one of London's leading hair salons — has produced hand sanitiser at the in-house salon laboratory in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

"The most efficient way to cleanse hands and kill bacteria is to thoroughly wash with soap and warm water. However we have ensured that hand sanitiser will be available in salon to help prevent the spread of bacteria," said Shona Bisset BSc, Windle London development chemist, in a statement on the salon's Instagram.

Starting now, customers coming into the salon will be able to bring a clean, empty container with them to be topped up with hand sanitiser free of charge.

In addition to ensuring there is enough sanitiser to go around, HEPA filters will be placed in the salon to help filter out 99.99 percent of microbes, bacteria, and virus, to ensure clients choosing to still attend their appointments are protected to the highest levels possible.
