Jessie J and Jenna Dewan are saying "enough" to comparisons made between their looks. After news of Jessie's relationship with Jenna's ex Channing Tatum broke, fans began to comment on physical resemblances the two women may share. On Friday, the "Price Tag" singer posted a message on Instagram, addressing her boyfriend's "beautiful" ex and explaining why a culture of comparison is harmful for everyone involved.
"Is picking who is prettier and then continuing to say why a good activity for women to participate in? No," Jessie wrote. "I am a woman that supports ALL women. I am a woman that loves ALL women and will not stand quietly when the media is teaching young girls to constantly compare, one another. Or to pick who they think is prettier," she continued.
Jenna, who separated from Channing after nine years of marriage earlier this year, subtly addressed the comparison in a previous Instagram comment. She then responded to Jessie's message in emphatic agreement. "Amen Jessie! Yes!!!" she wrote on Twitter. "Women for women all the way. No need for negativity. Let's live in a world where we support each other and raise each other up."
Say it louder for the people in the back, ladies! Kudos to these powerhouse women for spreading uplifting messages and positivity.
