Britney Spears Praises Euphoria For Helping Her With Anxiety

Not too long ago we learned that "Euphoria" is HBO's second-most-watched show, with 16.3 million viewers tuning in to the season two finale. And now we know that none other than Britney Spears is a big fan of the Emmy Award-winning drama starring Zendaya! On Friday, the superstar shared a clip via Instagram from season one, writing, "For MENTAL AWARENESS WEEK a little while ago I watched this insane amazing show @euphoria … Good God it's too good !!!! I'm a little behind anyways 🤷🏼‍♀️ !!!! Watching this and being entertained by these crazy plots I suddenly felt all my anxiety go away … the show was like meditation !!!!"

She continued, "It put a HUGE grin on my face … and if you want to be zen … there's sound therapy 👂🏼 … stillness … yoga 🧘🏼‍♀️ … monk retreats … but last but definitely not least, train your thoughts to think things that make you SMILE ... YES you know THOSE 👍👍👍 !!!! YOU GOT IT ???? KEEP SMILING 😄"

Though the series is often criticized for glorifying sex, drug abuse, and violence, Zendaya said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly that "the feeling behind 'Euphoria,' or whatever we have always been trying to do with it, is to hopefully help people feel a little bit less alone in their experience and their pain."

In November, Spears's 13-year conservatorship finally ended thanks to Judge Brenda J. Penny's ruling. Since then, the 40-year-old singer has been very open about her healing process. "My intention is to merely exist in hopes that others see me write … dance 💃🏼 … cry 😢 … laugh 😂 … sing 🎤 … or just speak 🗣 !!!! They know I exist to be a good person …. period," she shared via Instagram a couple weeks after the exciting verdict. Recently, the singer reportedly signed a $15 million book deal for a tell-all memoir.
