"Daddy Appreciation Post," she captioned her carousel. "Happy Father's Day Papa And Happy Father's Day to all the amazing Papas out there!! We love you and appreciate you more than you will ever know."
While the first photo in Lopez's post was a clear appreciation for her husband's physique, the second slide included a clip of her May appearance on "The View," in which she talked about what an amazing father and stepfather Affleck is. "It brings tears to my eyes," Lopez said on the show. "He is honestly the best dad I have ever seen. He is so involved. He teaches me about how to interact with the kids sometimes."
She continued, "He's just so in tune and he's just such a brilliant guy anyway, he's so learned in so many things anyway, and you can just tell that when he had his kids he must have read every book and everything that you could possibly learn about children and he applies and he's present, and that's all you can ask, for a present, loving dad who cares and shows up every single day and that's who he is."
Lopez rounded out her post with two sweet photos of her and the "Gone Girl" actor cuddling. The "Shotgun Wedding" star wasn't the only one who gave Affleck a shout-out on Father's Day. His ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, whom he shares Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel with, shared a post on Instagram featuring her father that included a post script for her ex. "PS Shout out to BGA—no one loves their kids like you love ours, happy Father's Day, Ben! X," she wrote.
In addition to being a dad to his three kids with Garner, Affleck is also a devoted stepfather to Lopez's twins, Max and Emme, whom she shares with Marc Anthony. During a May appearance on "Today," the pop star praised her husband for always be there for their blended family.
"He's a wonderful, wonderful father. And a father figure to [Max and Emme] as well, because he has his own three beautiful children, and then there's us," Lopez said. "He's fantastic. He really steps up to the challenge of what that is and what that means," she continued of Affleck. "And they love him. They love him. And they appreciate him, and so do I."
