Maisie Williams and Reuben Selby Split After 5 Years

"Game of Thrones" alum Maisie Williams has split from her boyfriend of 5 years, fashion designer Reuben Selby. The couple shared the announcement on Instagram stories on 24 Feb., telling followers they are going their separate ways, but will continue as friends to "protect the magic".

Speculation that the couple were on the rocks had been circulating as the pair had recently posted snaps from their individual holidays and had been absent from each other's social media. Williams then posted a photo of the pair on her stories, with the caption: "The end of an era. Reuben and I have decided to end our relationship. Since we met 5 years ago, our connection always extended deeply into our shared, and separate, creative careers… and it will continue to do so. This decision is something we are so grateful for as we can protect the magic, that we can't help but emit, whenever we put our brains together. P.s no further questions, please, we must protect our children (my dog)."

The amicable breakup was further confirmed, when Selby reposted the announcement, and added another Instagram story of the two at Paris Fashion Week in 2020. He added: "Please don't be sad for us — just appreciate the fits." And what 'fits we were treated to! Williams and Selby were known for their couple dressing. From matching Dior jackets to pastel Thom Brown suits, with a few synced hair styles in between, when it came to style, few couples could compare.

The "Pistol" star and modelling agency founder first went public with their romance at Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas's wedding in May 2019, where Williams was the Maid of Honour for her GoT costar, though the couple had been together for a few months by then. Ever since, they kept fans up to date with super stylish Instagram posts. It seems they have gone about their breakup in a kind, mature manner, and we hope their special friendship remains in tact.
