As if we weren't already thrilled to join an empowering conversation with Michelle Obama and the Girls Opportunity Alliance at POPSUGAR's upcoming Girl Talk event, we're about to drop a majorly star-studded lineup of musical performers and special guests that'll have you texting your group chat faster than you can say knowledge is our superpower.
Disney+'s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star Sofia Wylie will be hosting the one-hour virtual event on Friday, 26 March, at 7 p.m. GMT, which will include a keynote conversation between Mrs. Obama and two incredibly inspiring students from the Girls Opportunity Alliance, Sonali Pathak and Turipamue Kazohua, moderated by talk show host Lilly Singh. A part of the Obama Foundation, the Girls Opportunity Alliance was established to empower adolescent girls through education by supporting grassroots organisations around the world that work to remove the barriers that hold girls back.
The night is guaranteed to be inspirational, educational, and fun, with interactive Q&As, a musical performance by the one and only Kelly Clarkson, and some seriously next-level special guests like Black-ish star Marsai Martin, Moana's Auli'i Cravalho, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, star of Mindy Kaling's Never Have I Ever.
Oh yeah, and did we mention celebrity appearances from Alicia Keys, Orlando Bloom, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Demi Lovato, Shonda Rhimes, and, ahem, Meryl Streep? That's just a handful of the famous friends joining this unforgettable event. Get the full list and details below!
