Garrard Conley's Heartbreaking Memoir Comes to Life in the Trailer For Boy Erased

The first trailer for Boy Erased is here, and if you've read Garrard Conley's heartbreaking 2016 memoir upon which it's based, then you can probably already guess that it's going to make you emotional. Lucas Hedges stars as Jared, the teenage son of a baptist preacher (Russell Crowe) who is forced by his parents to endure a church-supported gay conversion program. Playing in the background of the trailer is Troye Sivan and Jónsi's new original song, "Revelation," which will send your tear ducts into overdrive. Boy Erased arrives in theatres in November, and also stars Nicole Kidman and Joel Edgerton.
